Which stores are closing?
There are discussions on another site that some of the stores are closing. Do we know which ones yet? I am really sorry to hear this.

I agree that it is very sad that we are losing some stores.
There has been a lot of bad press about Craft Central on other forums, and I urge you not to take any notice of this 'gossip'.
There are good reasons that certain stores are closing - Tarporley, for instance, is closing because the premises are being demolished.
I am sure that staff from affected stores will post on here to let the customers know what is happening and direct you to another store in (or near) your local area.

Re: Which stores are closing?
I went to Darford yesterday and on route went to a lovely craft shop in Swanley. Before i left i went onto Yell.com to see what craft shops were in the area & there was a craft central so i thought check that out.
Well lucky i did, first of all my sat nav didn't pick up the address - well it did but a housing estate - so i then gave up but on route into Darford i saw a garden centre & thought that sounds familiar so i went in there.
Found the shop but guess what it was closing.........um today but there were a lot of people in there but a shame for the people who work in there & also for people in the area.
Wonder if anymore will be closing soon?

Re: Which stores are closing?
Unfortunately for Dartford they have closed today. It is such a shame. They did get a reprieve in the summer due to huge customer support. Sadly it was not to last as the store did not seem to be supported at all by the company management. When the staff were able to order, those orders either went unfulfilled or to another store. Unfortunately in the world of papercraft if you are unable to keep up with current trends and releases and have no new stock in the shop then the customers are not going to buy, especially when there is nothing left worth buying.
Having seen what has happened in Dartford over the last few months I can understand entirely why there have been some frustrated comments elsewhere. The whole situation there has been extremely badly handled. That store really could have been a goldmine for the company had it been given the proper support. I feel for the staff at the Dartford store who have worked tirelessly against all the odds and have really done their best under very difficult circumstances.
Thank you girls and good luck for the future.
