Lost thread??????????????????????????
This forum looks like such a friendly bunch of people, I only asked a simple question, because being disabled I don't like making wasted journeys to Craft Central
Like I said on my last thread, if I have offended admin, then I publically apologise.
Re: Lost thread??????????????????????????
So I assume threads get deleted on this site simply if someone in admin doesn't like the content?
Do I get no explanation at all?
This site seems to be run, the same way as Craft Central runs it's business.

Re: Lost thread??????????????????????????
I don't know anything about your rumours thread - it would only have been deleted if it was offensive or unsuitable for the forum. I would assume that whoever deleted it will contact you......give them a chance to do this.
If you have a question you are free to PM me with it.
PS: There is no need to have a go at Craft Central - if you have a grievance with the company, this is not the place to air it!

Oh I thought a public forum, run by Craft Central and moderated by Craft Central staff, would be the perfect place to air grievances about a company, with absolutely no organisation or sane management structure
Re: Lost thread??????????????????????????
You are being very offensive in your comments and no one is forcing you to use this forum, the same as suggesting that a visit to craft central can be a wasted journey. I have never had a wasted journey to my local craft central and find the staff efficient, knowlegeable,
polite and good fun.
Public grievences with the company should not be aired here and i suggest you contact head office direct and let the rest of us who are quite satisfied with the company and the forum enjoy it!!
Please let this be the end of it and no further conversation be entered into.

I will not iron or wash the plates,
I'll just have fun with my Craft Mates!

Re: Lost thread??????????????????????????
I find it quite amazing on here as to how people are offended, simply because I have stated that on numerous visits to my local CC, I have been disappointed with the levels of stock
Why is this so offensive to people, I thought with there being employees of CC on this forum they might find this information very useful.
As for not using this forum, I'm sorry I seem to like it here, I love open public debates, I'm not being offensive or obnoxious
Please let this be the end of it and no further conversation be entered into.
If anything I find this offensive, nowhere have I told anyone in my posts to shut up
i suggest you contact head office
I know that most people in head office read this forum, so I'm killing two birds with one stone
Thanks for your input CCChristine

Just a quick addition here, I don't work for Craft Central, or affiliated in any way with the company, but I'm a moderator, so if you have any problems then please contact me rather than airing your issues on the forum. Thanks.
Edited to add: I am considering locking this thread so that it doesn't descend into a slanging match. Whilst things may have settled down, there is always the possibility of a reoccurance. If this occurs then the thread will be locked. If anyone has any objections then PM me.
Heavy handed moderation really is not the way to go, as we are apparently all adults, but believe me, if things get out of hand then it will be the only option.
Re: Lost thread??????????????????????????
Thanks Emma, I was starting to feel bullied, that must be how CC employees feel
Oooops sorry I've done it again!
Could you please pm me and tell me why my original thread had been deleted, I moderate a number of forums too and have always had the common courtesy to let people know if I have deleted anything they have posted and given them a sensible reason why
Looking forward to hearing from you

In response to messages I have received I will be locking this thread.
I will also make public my PM response to Guinness to ensure that fairness is upheld.
It is important to state that offensive comments will not be tolerated on this forum, from anyone. If anyone feels offended by a comment, then perhaps we all need to consider how we post. I would hope, that as grown ups we could be able to sort out differences with reasoned debate, but it would appear that is not the case.

My PM response:
Hi,
I don't know where your other thread has gone to be honest, if I did, I would tell you. The simple fact of the matter is that I wasn't around when you first posted. I do however find your current postings to be quite defensive, and whilst I'm all for free speech, there are ways and means of getting your point accross without resorting to underhand comments and general bitterness. Whilst I appreciate that you obviously have some grievance with the company, I feel your best course of action would be to contact them directly, either by letter, or if you are an ex-employee, then by tribunal. You are putting yourself at risk of legal action by posting your grievances on the site, as it may be viewed as defamation without apppropriate evidence (Tort of Defamation).
I hope this helps.
Emma
