Cricut Cartridge

Post  Carmen Steele on Tue 04 Nov 2008, 3:28 pm

Hello

I wonder if anyone has come across this problem. I recently bought the Home Accents cartridge and even though I have updated the Frimware in the Design Studio, I cannot find this cartridge in the dropdown menu in Design Studio.

Does anyone know a solution to this, please Question

I have emailed Cricut but don't expect to get a reply!!

Sorry dont use DS as I only use SCAL but when you updated the firmaware have you shut down your cricut and comp ??? They may need to be "reset/ rebooted" in order to accept the update fully.
I hope this helps if there is anything further I can do to help please let me know xxx

Did you download the new version of DS from the Cricut website? That worked for me.....

I updated the DS if that is what you mean. I will give it another go and see what happens.

Thanks for sharing.

Many many thanks Luelle.

I have resolved the problem. I had done it correctly in the first place but gave it another go and it worked the second time.

I do appreciate you taking the time.

Actually I haven't been using my Cricut Expressions for a while now. Unfortunately I had most of my Christmas cards made before I decided to buy the Cricut. Could have saved myself loads of time and effort - typical! Okay, I know I'm early but I am retired and once I get going I tend to be obsessive. Embarassed

I became a Cricuteer in September this year. I love the DS and jukebox, they are great. I'm afraid I'm one of these people that have to have everything at once. Rolling Eyes

I'll just have to get on with next year's birthday cards!!

I love it you sound like me except for the retired bit (I am 30)and I dont like the jukebox and DS I prefer SCAL. I HAVE to have everything all at once too can't stand having to wait for everything its not that I am impatient its just I get one thing and find I havent got soemthing to do what I want with it and I get all frustrated.

xxx Very Happy

It's true what you say, you start on something and whatever you have, or how much, it never seems to be what you need at that moment.

I can't compare DS to SCAL because I only know the DS. Although I have been making cards for many years, until last year I have cut everything by hand. I had the Big Shot die cutter for Christmas and throughout the year managed to accumulate hundreds of dies, although not redundant I am using them very infrequently now.

I have been retired for almost four years now and wonder where I ever found time to go to work!!! Very Happy
