Re: Where do you do your crafting?
I use our “universal” dinning room table, which I share with my husband’s computer bits, all our meals and anything else that needs a home. Most of my stash has to be portable as I go to classes and use it at cubs and put away every meal time.
Then, just before Xmas, a wonderful thing happened my eldest son moved out, now don’t get me wrong I love the bones of the boy, but………….
I lost no time in cleaning his room (I’m still having nightmares about what lurked under his bed!) and moved his brother into it. Then his brother’s room became mine I HAD A CRAFT ROOM!, that too get the clean of its life, , stash organised to move in, shelves bought; I just had to re-paint it and it was mine! All mine!
Yes you guessed it he wanted to move back, he decided he was too young to work extra hours to pay bills and if he did he should be able to afford a holiday etc(funny when I said all that I was just trying to tie him to my apron strings). Now with the extra furniture he had bought, not to mention the two hamsters, there is even less room for my stash.
All I can say is GERRRRRRRRRR
By the way the garage is already converted to a computer/wreck room for the two boys, but I do keep eyeing it up.

Re: Where do you do your crafting?
I have been reading all your storys of stash with interest.
My OH and I have plans for their rooms
I unfortunatly have the kitchen as my base I haven't been crafting long although, I have three draw stacks full of the stuff. I do, sew knit paint etc and have for yrs and have always longed for a room of my very own, machine in BR paint under comp desk (I had hoped when I moved out of mums 20+ yrs ago I would finally have my very own room lol silly thought I have a family and they are out growing the space we have lol)
My comp is in the bedroom corner with all photos and printer laminator etc and in the kitchen is the stash lol and a very large table which I make full use of
It is a shame that at meal times everything has to be cleared away and because of some poject or other, we have had tea on our knee kids don't mind that tho TV DINNER. Both my boys are bigger than me now and have their own rooms I only made a suggestion of them sharing and you should of heard the commotion so guess I will have to wait until they leave home, that's a while yet at 15 and 14 The eldest left a couple of yrs ago and came bk 3 times until finally settled and when when the other two do eventually go they will not get back in the door! lol

Re: Where do you do your crafting?
I craft in the lounge, which means i have to clear up everytime i stop. My youngest is going to uni in sept and at the mo shes claiming shes not going to come home in the summer. If she doesnt im buying her a futon (so she can come and visit occasionally) and ill take over half of the room for my crafts. Wont be much as she has the smallest room but itll be better than what ive got now. Whats the betting the little so and so will change her mind and decide to honour us with her presence in the summer. Sandra

Yipppeeeeeeeee for me!!!!
After a week long clear out of the boys den(formaly know as the garage) I have secured a corner by the window, with my own desk, chair and shelves for my stash.
Just one question....how come I have thrown out 6 bags of rubbish, 2 bags of out grown cloathes and filled the paper wheelie bin and I Still can't find room for the stuff thats left?

Re: Where do you do your crafting?
Our lounge is quite long so i've got the space under the stairs. In the very corner I have a corner computer desk and OH has put a desk top from the edge of the unit to the other end of the wall. Underneath I've got 2 x 6 drawer units and at the other side I've got a 2 drawer filing cabinet with 11 drawer unit sat on top. In the winter it's very cosy as under my desk is the radiator
