Love the Ocean one!

Crafty me I think the Ocean design is so unique! You were able to melt the wax just so to get the kelp and ocean colors! WOW

I don't even work week days but I still had to go into work today and buy somemore things for my encaustic. I got the wax sealer. This is what you can put over the top of your work and it prevents any of the wax coming off, a purple wax and an anita stamp (seahorse). I thought I would have my first ever go with stamping in conjuction with the encaustic. I will post a picture of the result when I have had a go!

well I'm sure that if you visit your local CC they would be very happy to help (maybe phone ahead to check they do stock it as I appears not all of our stores do). Or if you are ever near Crowland (South Lincolnshire) at a weekend I would be more than happy to let you have a go.

As promised here is the first attempt with stamping with "Staz On" and Encaustic.

To do this I first stamped the seahorse onto the sealed card with "Staz On" ink and then used the coloured wax to colour the background. To get the affect of the reeds I used the edge of the iron.
