Hi Mandy here,
I also have the cricut and expression machines and demonstrate them in lots of our craft central stores, I would be happy to talk to you about them both.
The robo is not a good machine if you don't like computer programmes and are not very good with getting uploads and downloads from elsewhere to achieve the results you want. I have been lucky enough to have tried it but still prefer my cricut machines, yes you have the cartridges to buy, but with the use of the design studio you can adapt so much more, and you can look and play with all the other cartridges before you buy them.

I had the same deliberation and chose the expression and I can honestly say it's fantastic, I was worried about the craft robo because I met someone in chat who told me they had "issues" with the software working well on their computer. I opted for the expressions because:
1. Instant results just plug it in , load the mat and go!!
2. Information and materials to use with the expressions are more widely available e.g blades and mats.
3. Carts are £49.99 each at my cc which seems reasonable to me.
4 They don't take up much room and can be easily stored away when not in use.
Hope this helps... make sure you plan to do nothing all day when you get one (if the expression is your choice) as I couldn't tear myself away from mine !!

Well ...Decision made and a cricut expression has been purchased.Thanks to you all for your advice and now (hopefully) it is time for some serious play.Don't know how I have managed to wait so long as I purchased it about 3 hours ago but had to feed the OH as he provided the funds.May be gone for a while.......Mags

So pleased for you, don't forget we are here for you, should you have any problems but i am sure you will get on fine with your expressions, it was lovely to meet you and put a face to your name, see i do look like a little blue smurf, and if you haven't already you must add the little booklet you made in the papercrafts sections, thank you for showing me, i think i will be making one very soon,

Thanks for you help . have had no problems with the expressions so far and I'm loving it. Just want to do so much, but at last I'm starting my first scrapbook page.The Stretch your imagination cart is great will have to save for some more.Pleased you liked the little notebook and it was lovely to meet you.
