PLEASE PUT YOUR PATCHWORK & SEWING HERE

Post  Dawn on Fri 30 May 2008, 2:50 pm

I have recently started Patchwork quilting and was asked to display my first attempt by some one on the site, this is it, the cussion, lol not the cat, that is Hunny she is adorable. I was quite pleased with it, the cussion i meen. It didn't take long only a few hours in fact, ignor the date I couldn't change the date on my camera doh!

Please feel free to put your sewing and patchwork here there is a great interest and from what I hear it's growing so there must be some one out there that have also plenty of much better examples than this to show!

Happy sewing and Patchworking. I look forward to seeing yours soon.

i have an embroidery machine it does all the work for me.
i just tell it what i want it to do.
then with a helping hand and the use of the right materials the machine does the rest.

sorry im not clever i use grown up toys.

hope you still like the work.

some of the pieces takes up to 3 hours to do

no it looks like an ordinary machine with an extention plate on the side,
there is still only one needle to thread.
the industrial ones have up to 6 - 8 needles.
but only one needle is used at one time.

my machine is a domestic with one needle.

I met some one who had a T-Shirt business and he used to do all the work on sports & school clothing very noisy he had lots and some had I think 12 needles all going at the same time lol he had a few machines. Not that I have time to start a new craft but they look really handy thing to have, your work is yummy!

it sounds as though your friend had 12 machine heads in a row with 6 _ 8 needles threaded up in the colours for the design.
the 12 heads do all the same colour no 1 first then change to colour 2 then 3 and so on.
when the design is finished he will have 12 finished embroiderded items all done at the same time.

you need a lot of space for that type of machine.

love you lots mgt xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
