Move on...
The demise of the company has impacted on many, and from what everyone says it's clear that emotions run high. However, its time to move on and frankly quit whinging. If you liked the Kings or if you did not, they did not run the firm into the wall intentionally, so slaughtering them (or anyone else) is a waste of time and energy. Grow up.
Companies up and down the country have been hit by the credit crunch - accept it. Its not nice, but its life right now. If you were clearly that unhappy when you were employed by the company then you should have left. Dwelling on what has happened is not healthy.
Successful people are positve and make a plan. The Kings have clearly done this, so you should too.
In brief - move on.

MOVE ON HA HA
Well excuse me but did you work for them
well if you did then are you happy about the fact that you still havent received your money that you are owed
everyone has the right to vent there anger about the kings
they ruined a lot of lives right on top of christmas and i can tell you that i will not be told to move on until i get what i am due
and of yes of course the kings can move on because they have the money and contacts to do that
and anyone that works for them after what happened has got to be mental
if you were not a member of there staff then you havent any right to tell people to stop whinging
what do we do just sit back and take it I DONT THINK SO!!!!!!!!!

What gives YOU the right to tell people to move on, as said in other post, did you work for them, do they owe you money in some cases quite a lot! was your christmas ruined?

if i was angry before i am livid now How dare you come on to a forum where the members are hurt and angry and not forgetting the customers the Kings stole money from , selling vouchers that they wouldnt be honouring

Re: Move on...
What a b****y cheek, I could lose my house, I already lost the use of my phone as i can't pay the bill, soon i will be getting the council on my back and the list goes on. It was entirely the Kings fault, we worked there because we loved the job, not the management, so I think it gives us every right to whine and moan. I WANT AND NEED MY MONEY. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO SAY MOVE ON.
You have no right to tell us to stop whining, we loved our jobs and we would have done anything to keep them. AND MOST OF US DID... in our own time, unpaid work.....preparing for Demo's, researching the new products, spending hours coming up with new ideas, which customers loved.
Maybe this is a good lesson to managers all over to listen to their staff, and not dismiss them like little children who doesn't understand the working of a business. We understood the customers, and what they wanted.
So that give me every right to moan about what has happened, to US ALL.

RE;MOVE ON
How dare you, the demise of the company was their fault they opened too many stores to fast instead of looking after the ones they already had. when we opened we were number 17 within 2 years he had opened another 29 he had spread himself too thin.

Yes, rather bizarre that out of the blue a member joins the forum on the 22 of January 2009 and not before!

Re: Move on...
well who ever that was certainly provoked the reaction they wanted, dont waste any more posts on this loser - in time we all move on i have but it doesnt stop me from airing my views about the old craft central regime and neither will it stop me supporting the girls that worked hard or the customers that were so loyal. None of us Mr Rembrant were unhappy in our jobs i think u have missed the point entirely, perhaps i could suggest you read all the posts properly and there you will find that it was the management that destroyed these girls not their jobs. keep an open mind for the new owners i always found Quay Imports a pleasure to deal with and i am sure they will do their best to get the business back on its feet and provide a lot of you girls with new jobs.

Re: Move on...
How dare YOU tell us to move on when we are still waiting to be paid!!! They have ruined alot of peoples lives by not PAYING people for the work that they have done....... We will all move on when we get what is owed to us!!!! It is a very sore point for alot of people and I think you should keep your opinions to yourself unless you have something WORTH saying!!!!!

Re: Move on...
I haven't posted on this forum before. To be honest I wasn't sure what to say. I agree with everybody. It is hard to move on when there is unfinished business. I keep checking my bank account each day in hope that my money will be there but it never is. Will we ever get paid?!!! It is hard for me to find a new job because of what's happened. I want to forget about Craft Central but that is a hard thing to do. I wish everybody luck with their job searching and hope that we get paid soon!!!
