Re: EX STAFF INFO
Carols crafts thats the name on alot of that mega deals we had, and i have just marked half price. I was under the impression that he owned aston trading and that that is where the money went. what a nerve he has but people will go back as they need the work and loved the job.
I WONT BE.

Re: EX STAFF INFO
Hi Ann
Thanks for that, i will always back the ex staff of CC cos i know how hard u all worked, I too loved my job but was dumped back in August after 4.5 years of hard slog for that company. I was made redundant in Macdonalds over a cup of coffee in a paper cup! I wouldnt spit on Dan or Pat King let alone work for them again but everyone has the freedom of choice and times are tough right now. Having said that i would actually prefer to live in a cardboard box! There was never any question that the Kings would lose their house however many times Pat told the staff they would, i wouldnt like to bet on the same with some of the loyal staff they **** on from a great height. Some might say bitter but i am actually a million times happier now im not working for them.
To tell u all what i know is this Caroles crafts is owned by Alan of Astons that the Kings are now working for, Iver Kingsley Spalding Cardiff are definately opening under this banner. Watch this space for a chain of bargain pound shops! Graham i have been told is also on board
Ashford has been taken over by the garden centre and will be a success under Terry who owns it.
Lastly i would like to wish the new owners of CC the very best of luck and i hope you do very well but personally i would ditch the name it holds an awful lot of bad memories and feelings for alot of people. Please please from the bottom of my heart if you are lucky enough to re employ some of the fantastic staff listen to them, they are experienced crafters with a huge across the board knowledge and given the chance would shine for you.
Love to you all

Well said Andrea
Well said Andrea, I think you have hit the nail on the head re the disgraced name of the Company, how dedicated and knowledgeable the staff have been, and how so many would willingly be re-employed if the chance arose. I am sure the new owner will sit back and take all the comments made on the forum on board and act accordingly.

Re: EX STAFF INFO
how 2 stubborn know it alls, who know nothing about crafting and wouldnt take advice from the very experienced and knowledgable staff base they had, can set up another company to wreck more lives is beyond me.
i also hope the new "craft central" takes on board the people in the know are the people on the shop floor and not always the ones sat in the office,
i wish i had £10 for all the times i have been asked to set up a shop or classes by the people who came in as customers but went out as friends i could have been well on the way as opening a shop but alas i need to win the lottery first
and i do think the company needs a new name
