Re: wages in my bank

Post  cake n craft on Thu 05 Feb 2009, 11:58 pm

Husband has looked at my figures and come up with the following:- I was owed £288 basic pay, plus £21 for hrs. after 15 Dec. = £309, then multiplying 309 by 20% to give basic rate of tax, which equals a figure of £61.80. If I then take £61.80 from £309 I get £247.20 which is how much was paid into my bank. So I've been given nothing for the holiday pay I was due, and the pay in lieu of notice has to be claimed on the RP2 form that we have to wait for them to send us. Can anyone out there follow the steps and apply them to the money they got paid into their bank to see if the maths works out? and do I have to go to an employment tribuneral to get back the holiday pay I'm owed, as there is a limited amount of time to get one of those rolling.

I've had my form for Pay in Lieu of notice today although I haven't been paid. Which is strange cos two of our girls have been paid but haven't had the other paperwork, does anyone else think this was done using the lottery system?

hopefully there will be a letter in thepost today explaining how they have done this, i ticked the box that said are you due anything else i ticked no as i went by the payslip which already had pay in lieu on it. the way i feel just now really is that i am very lucky to have got anything as we could have ended up with nothing at all. I just want to see the back of craft central that was.

just managed to get through to the insolvency people but there was no staff to help me because of the snow!
Daise is you form for pay in lieu or because you didnt get the amount of notice you were entitled to?

missing money

Post  crafty laine on Fri 06 Feb 2009, 12:49 pm

As I understand it. Some of the missing money is; two weeks wages for notice in of redundancy. To get this money you have to ring the insolvency office and get yet another form, to apply to the governmet for that part of it. Not sure about the holiday pay though.
The Insolvency office is closed at present due to "work overload" they are not taking calls. Aren't they the lucky ones.

Right I have just received my statement and cake n craft was right with the method however you also need to deduct your n.i.
The money I have received is just for the hours I worked including the hours after 15th dec.
So no hol pay so will be chasing that.

this payment method they have is getting to be confusing, or the chap on the phone hasnt a clue what he was on about. Think im better waiting for my statement because my redundacy pay and what i got doesnt add up either Rolling Eyes

i think you are right sarah hope my statement comes tomorrow so i can be clear on what i got and then will have to wait for the forms to claim compensation because i was given no notice of being made redundant. oh joy! i know they may be busy with all the loss of jobs at the samw time as ours but if they dont know what they are doing they should say so.
dont know why they have to pay it all out in dribs and drabs instead of all 1 payment

I know one minute we get letter sayin they have receeived forms and will get paid up2 6 wks, then money is in account, then receive statement.
However, at the bottom of my statement it says 'total you will receive in this payment' so hopefully I receive the rest im owed.
Dont think any of us had decent notice so I defo ticked the box for compensation due 2 lack of notice on the first form we had.
I dont qualify for redundancy pay has woz just short of the 2 yrs so I hope all of you that are entitled 2 that dont have 2 wait 2 long.

Got my statement this morning. Ive checked it against my payslip and all ive got paid is my wages (which is correct) and my redundancy. I havnt had any notice in-lieu or holiday money would be nice to get it but should be grateful we have got anything really. Will wait and see if i get this other form. Bet the staff at Pat and Dans stores are laughing as they would have got redundancy aswell as going near enough back into a job while the rest of us are still looking
