i would like to say welcome to the forum on behalf of everybody i'm sure and as a lot of my fellow collegues i would also hope the store i worked(Altrincham) at or the 1 closer (Daisy Nook)to me re opens not only has a lot of loyal workers been lost to the craft industry but lots of loyal customers as well who will all now be waiting with bated breath to see what stores will open
Good Luck to you in this enterprise

re the future of Craft Central - especially Altrincham!

Post  shirleyf35 on Wed 21 Jan 2009, 6:38 pm

Hi! I was a regular customer at the Altrincham shop & I would love it if Craft Central re-opened either in the same place or somewhere close by. I no longer have a local craft shop Sad . It would also be good if any staff who still wanted to work there were re-employed as they were all fantastic & really friendly & helpful. I'm missing my weekly visits already!

Looking forward to the relaunch! Great news that at least some staff may get their jobs back Very Happy

Have to admit im hoping that if they dont open Cranleigh back up that they might open one in West Sussex as there arnt many craft shops in west sussex and alot of Cranleighs customers were customers that used to come to the old Pulborough store before that bclosed and Cranleigh opened. Would love to work back in a craft shop as its the on ly job that ive really loved doing

Do we know which shops are reopening? It would be great if Cambridge or Peterborough were, as they were very popular with a large customer following. There isn't another local carft shop in the Cambs area for card makers.

re-opening re Dartford

Post  dippy on Wed 21 Jan 2009, 9:39 pm

Wonderful news that CC are re-opening. Would you consider trying for a franchise in another local but larger garden centre in Sidcup? I'm sure the added footfall would compensate for any additional franchise costs.

probably - Astons have their own stock as u know all cheap stuff so will end up like a bargain basement. I hope none of the suppliers will give him the time of day
