pay in lieu
just going back to this because to me pay in lieu and payment for notice isnt the same thing
because the person who did the wage slips wouldnt know how much approx we would get because the end payment for notice depends on whether you claimed any money from benefits or started a new job
i got my notice payment today and its says how much i was entitled to for 2 weeks notice and then deducted what benefits i claimed for the the time scale they stated
so am i right in thinking pay in luieu is the wage i didnt get at the start of my employment worked 6 weeks and got paid for 4 and was told would get the 2 weeks owed at the end of my employment.
will be glad when this is all over its tyoo confusing the way we are being paid out, i wouldnt like to work at the insolvency office for all the tea in china if we are confused what are they with all the different firms they are dealing with. i take my hat off to them

Re: pay in lieu
Your not the only one who is confused, I've just received the same bog standerd letter thanking me for the claim for payments from the National Insurance Fund that the Insovlency service sent out to me last month, still no pay in lieu form of holiday pay, although I have noticed the posting about holiday payments being made next week - will keep a look out for that one.

give them a ring about your "notice payment" orange form they said they sent mine out and it didnt arrive and i noticed on another posting forms had gone missing, i have posted 2 of the case workers names and a 'direct number' you can supposedly get these people on.
