Not craft related, why did you choose your avaitor?

Post by Tracy on Thu 13 Mar 2008, 11:42 pm

Hi All, just wondering if there was a reason for your log on name or your avaitor, my log on name is my name sorry for being boring, but my avaitor picture has a reason, my first year at high school or comp as it's known as nowadays, i remember oh so well, i was quite small in height i mean and i remember walking through the playground and everybody parted as i walked through and sung the song, altogether now where are you all coming from, from smurfs land where we belong, was quite embarressed at the time, but now i look at my avaitor and think she looks quite cute and i'm proud to be a smurf, though i'm not blue lol

I drew my avatar just for the forums Very Happy It is supposed to look like me :s

About the smurf comment... when I was at school people used to tease me saying they should paint me orange so I would be an oompah loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is because I am only just under 5ft tall and was even shorter back then! Things like what you described really never elave you do they.

My username is also just my name. I thought that since I was kind of representing the company I should be boring about registering Wink Also people in other stores can then identify me easily.

Thanks for the reply's, as you say nici if anybody from other stores come on they will know me as tracy from cardiff but i don't mind being known as the smurf, Yes susan it hurt deeply at the time, but so many years on how many off them actually remember parting and making me walk through the gap all on my own, i know one person does i met up with him by chance years later and he apoligised(spelling) he was small and he said he wished he could have joined me but did not feel brave enough, i told him i did totally understood where he was coming from, and i did the walk for all the small people in the school, hated it but still did it, we had a lovely evening recalling all the good times in school, just missed out the bad times lol

I have my picture as its me, (it was a while ago). My name was given by my hubby some time ago and Ive been known as squirrel since. Aparently I make little grunt nosies when I sleep and sound like a squirrel (God knows what a squirrel sounds like). I thought it was cute until I found out why he calls it me. (dont mind really).
As for the school stuff I to was called smurf at school due to haveing blue skin Suspect (sorry kidding) Im 5' short. I was also sang to, brown girl in the ring was a fav.
I have come to terms with my height (and blue skin) if someone is rude enough to comment I tell them 'I'm not short, I'm fun sized sunny

Very Good, You have even drawn the Craft Central Uniform, I wish I could draw! However I can remember when I was a primary school and being told that the people that I draw look like they have television aerials for their arms!!

I've picked a Encaustic Art picture that I have made. Many people think (myself included) that it looks like a under water scene. I have choicen my name as thomas@crowland because that is where I work at the weekends (as I am a student currently doing A-Levels).

I know, it can be really affective. Its funny because everyone sees different things in the pictures. I did a demo the other day at work and the amount of people that could see different things in the different pictures!

I will take some more pictures and put them up soon.

Thomas
