CRAFTING ADHESIVES
Id like to find out what everyones favourite types of adhesives are for card making etc.
I have a thing about tape roller pens and somethimes its like i eat them as i go through so many of them - wish i could get shares in their company as i constantly am running out of them!
I use DS tape as and when i have to but my fav is definately the roller pens.
Love quickie glue pens for applying glitter and fiddly things and silicone for larger jobs and decoupage.
Hopefully you will share your views as to what your preferences are.

My fav is easy tear easy lift ds tape , am playing with silicone as we speak gonna make some flower arrangements with it when the "shed" is built. Can't get on with thos tape guns as like you I must eat them or something and are far too expensive for the use. Love love love my quickie glue for glamour dust but use my zig zag for words and letters and other fiddly stuff (like quicke gluw but wider tip) xx

My favourite is DS tape. I get through rolls and rolls of it
Also like my pritt stick and 3d foam pads and love sticky dots.
Have never got on with a roller tape - think it's too expensive to use as a general glue and don't like "wet" glues - I'm too impatient to let them dry
Haven't tried silicone so can't comment on that one

I like ds tape and silicone. I use the roller tape but find it breaks and unable to use after that and what a waste. Lots still to be rolled out so I try not to buy it.
Use 3d pads as well and it depends on the type of card etc I am making.

I'm not sure but I think I use most of them at differant times. It depends on what I'm doing and which I can find first

I like DS tape from Craft Central, and use that the most, especially the narrow one with ribbons (cheaper than buying sticky ribbon!). I use my easy tear fingerlift tape if I'm in a real hurry, but I save it cos it's quite expensive, especially in the wider width.
I'll use a glue stick over the tape intially so I can reposition stuff easily, but then it dries like DS tape. Tesco value, 10 sticks for 99p is all I really need for that.
Tape rollers are nice but they're too expensive to use on everything.
My favourite wet glue has to be the quickie glue pen, it's fab for embellishments, and for sticking corners down if you havent gone all the way up to the edge with tape.
I like micro dots too for flat backed gems. The Works sell them for 99p and I think you get 17,000 micro dots.
Craft Central 3d foam pads, and silicone for decoupage. Love them both, but again it depends on how quickly I need to make a card!!
Being a student for so long had it's advantages. Now I have some money I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. I might have to buy a tape roller!!!

Re: CRAFTING ADHESIVES
Hi
As I've only recently joined I'm catching up on posts and see no-one mentioned the Pinflair Glue Gel.
This is a fab glue which they claim keeps for up to 8 weeks in the syringe without drying out - mine lasted nearly 4 months!! Also 3-5 years in the tube - a great improvement on silicone as mine always dried out and drove me mad. Also odourless.
The glue gel can be used as a flat glue as well and seems to stick pretty well everything - eg metal, wood etc etc. I had a small ornament my niece gave me as a child made from shells on a stone which had come apart and I stuck it back together with the glue gel.
It's also colourless and apparently can be used as raindrops, teardrops etc, tho I haven't tried that yet
It costs £5-£6 for a large tube with the syringe - (great for detail), but worth it to me for it's long life and versatility and not having to throw out dried up tubes of silicone.
No I don't have shares in Pinflair LOL, just thought I'd hsare a great product with you.
Hugs
Maureen

ds tape or glue dots mostly for me. The glue dots have to be on tear off sheets and not on a roll as I'm a fussy whatsit.
I also keep a bulk of pva for other crafts. I'd be lost without these things.

I'm not sure whether the glue gel was that widely available back then, but I agree, love mine. Get through it so fast though cos I use it for everything!!
